Dark & Stormy
The Dark & Stormy is delightful twist on the refreshing vodka-classic, Moscow Mule. Trademarked by Gosling’s Black Seal rum, and without any additional ingredients, the focal point of this variation is merely the introduction of the deep molasses-y notes of the rum. The biggest difference, however, comes in its aesthetic presentation. This cocktail forgoes the iconic copper mug and opts instead for the Collins glass. Although it is mostly for visual effect, this slim and sleek vessel allows you to float the black rum across the top of the libation creating the dark and stormy scene. Last, but certainly not least, don’t forget to reserve a lime wheel (or wedge) for your garnish. Although this cocktail isn’t a real “Dark ‘n Stormy” without Gosling’s Black Seal rum, it is quite delicious with your favorite black (or dark) rum. But don’t take my word for it, make one and try it yourself!
